The Gosforth – A tradition cottage door style

November 7th 2017

Whilst driving through the glorious British countryside you’ll no doubt have noticed the quaint cottages and farmhouses featuring thatched roofs, stone brickwork and vertical panelled front doors.  It’s these elements that gave us our inspiration for the Gosforth door style.

The Gosforth features a tongue and groove effect, giving the impression of a traditional wooden door.  Great news though…. Residors are made from modern materials meaning that there is much less upkeep required.

Countryside charm

To keep the Gosforth traditional, go for a classic white from our standard colour range and team it with black furniture fixings. This will give you a clean and classy finish that will look great all year round.

In keeping with tradition cottage style, the Gosforth 1 features a small diamond shaped glazed panel.  Bullseye glass is a great option for the Gosforth 1 as it will provide a high level of privacy whilst allowing for the natural light to enter your home.

Adding a modern element

If you like the country-style aesthetics of the Gosforth but want to add a modern twist, why not go for the Gosforth solid.  Team it with a metallic colour from our RAL code selection like Grey Aluminium (Ral 9007) or Pearl Beige (Ral 1035) and chrome furniture to really make a statement.

The Gosforth door style from Residor will bring countryside charm to any doorway.
